    serial number

some very intelligent person before me replaced the main board on a 3035 with one from another 3035 and did not swap them back when he found that was not the problem. Well I just sold this one and the serial number does not match what the machine serial number and this will confuse our system as far as meters and machine locatione and stuff. The rule is you change the e-proms when you change the board but I guess that wass forgotten. Can anyone help me with the rewriting of the serial number on this thing????

    Thanks

Only the manufacturer can do this. I had to do a considerable amount of begging to get them to fix my machine.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The main problem is that he did not swap the backup memory ram.. Have you tried the secret 3036-3036 code, then sim 004? If you have and older version of firmware this should be no problem.

Kyocera Mita will not give you the code that Kyoceradude just gave because it allows not only the serial number but all meter readings to be altered thats why the would send someone out to do this.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

That is correct. You can change meters with this code if your one of those shadey dealers. I don't condone nor perform this task. no matter what the boss wants. Be careful. Be honest. And by the way, a long time ago they talked about this in Dallas. This code even works on some of the oldie moldy DC Series. It won't work on any newer current equipment. Tech rep has to come out to change serial number info.....

                Thanks

Thanks again fellas. I just let the unit go as is I will try to keep track of the right stuff on my end. That shady stuff does not work for me either, yes I have turned down contracts and machines that I don't believe have the correct meters on them.
