    Kyocera KM 3530 scan question

    Hi,

    we have an KM-3530 running with a scanner card NS-30 and an ethernet nic.
    The firmware version of the NS-30 is     Ver1.4.11 the scanner version 2.60.9.

    Scanner works fine but we have no entry "SCAN TO SMB" or "SCAN TO FTP".
    On the Kyocera Web Site FAQ Section they tell you to deactivate an enterprise mode U-510 and to enable U-511 and U-512 afterwards.

    The question is where can I disable/enable those entries?

      Scan Question

      The 3530 does not support the scan to SMB or FTP. You can scan to PC by installing the Scanner File Utility, but SMB and FTP support came out with the 3035 series units. The only other thing I can think of is a possible firmware update that would install the U-510 and 511 sims into the unit.

          Firmware Version 1.4.02 and above support Scan to SMB for the copiers that support this feature. CS/KM 6030, 8030 and the color C2520 series. Will it work on the 2530 and 3530 machines?, I do not know.

              If you have a sim U512, then Yes. If no sim, then No. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  Can you tell me where I can find the sim U512?

                  I searched in the parts list for the 3530 but can't find it.

                      Sim U512 is a maintenance mode item, not a part. Look in the Service Manual instead of the Parts Manual.
                      But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

                              Just in case anyone else is looking for this problem.

                              With firmware version NS-30 Ver1.4.11 and scanner version 2.60.9 there will be no sim U512 in the maintenance mode.
