    question about kyocera km 4530

    good day!

please help on km 4530, when I'm going to photocopy on 1 side the result good, but when I'm going to do a back to back via SRDF the other side has no copy, and so with manual back to back thru glass, still the other side has no copy.
what could be the problem on the machine? could it be on the setting configuration?

p.s all 4 copiers has the same trouble.

    thank you.

Are the originals double-sided? I know it may be a dumb question, but I had to ask.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

It sounds to me like the settings are wrong. What original type setting are you using?

Make sure original setting is set for 2 sided original.

I would try using a print simulation like U402 just to eliminate anything from optics. Maybe try legal or ledger sized paper just in case some image appears somewhere beyond 8.5 inches.

But all 4 machines? I would print out U000 reports and user reports (System Menu) and U020 one of them.

Is there even a faint image that might indicate bad transfer? Some machines have separate transfer settings for the second side.

I seem to have seen that issue a few years ago, it could be the scanner position when it scans the second side, it could be moving to the reference band, just to the side of the slit glass.

Or the paper might be getting routed improperly comming back for the second pass. CHeck the paper path, Make sure the paper goes though the slit glass the second time. You should be able to see it if you lower down and have the slit glass area at eye level.
