    Just unboxed a CS 255/305 ...

Who made this thing? It doesn't seem like a Kyocera box to me.... And what happened to the black motif?

Just saw the finisher and it SCREAMS Ricoh/Gestetner. From bridge unit to exit tray, its exactly the same it seems....

Well, the FS-C1020MFP is a Ricoh build.

I think its a step in the wrong direction. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It should be a Kyocera since the maintenance modes are the same, but it definitely has a Ricoh look to it. And looking like a Ricoh doesn't bring happy memories whereas looking like a Falcon 2 would. The right paper feed solves a couple issues like no need to flip paper when going to the finisher. It has its own problems though like you shouldn't put labels in the bypass because they curl the wrong way (similar to a 2050).

Most importantly, I'm going to miss using the same feed units that have fit most Kyoceras for the past 12 years.

Gimme a Ricoh before a taskalpha any day.

They're not Ricohs, trust me. Completely Kyocera made. It was an odd look they went for on this one, I'll give you that.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

The units are still shockingly Kyocera. No screws to remove but comes out in just the same manner as the Falcons'. The sep pad is notoriously Ricoh (cork), so I guess we cant have it all :P.
