KM FS-1128MFP scan to e-mail gmail

    Hi,

I have a question about this machine, I want to scan to e-mail and receive reports from this model, if the configuration is with an internal e-mail, everything work's fine, but if I try with Gmail give me a error.
The network settings are properly configured, the smtp I think they are too. When I make the test connection, everything is fine. But when send a e-mail don't work, give a error.

Someone work with the gmail smtp in this machine? something needs to change?

You will not be able to use gmail as your smtp server. They no longer allow free usage of there smtp servers.

Its not that gmail disallows free usage of their emails, its that Kyocera does not support the type of encryption gmail uses.

You can use an SSL encryption type with Gmail. Kyocera offers SSL connections. Gmail does not accept the header types that Kyocera uses, they are putting a stop to using there SMTP servers as an open email relay. I shouldnt have used the term free... there just flat out not allowing open relay mail through.

Google uses TSL which Kyocera doesn't support. I've been told by a customer that he used aspmx.l.google.com as the smtp server. This one allows an unencrypted connection. I haven't verified it, but he said it worked.
              Hope that helps !
