Does anybody know if you can set up the machine to ring when it's receiving a fax? I've not personally tried to set it up but a fellow tech was unable to find any kind of setting for it in the machine. Thanks.

I've seen the other thread. From what I can tell, you can adjust the monitor volume, and you can set DRD (distinctive ring detection), but there is no setting for ringer volume or ringer Off/On. I don't think it even has a ringer. It looks as though your only option is to plug in a telephone with a ringer. Radio Shack does have a flasher/ringer you can plug into the phone line (I have one in my garage, since I can never seem to hear the phone over the tablesaw). =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That was the conclusion of the other tech but I wanted to make sure that was the case. I find it strange that a copier that I can browse the internet on doesn't have a ringer. O.o
