[Misc] TaskAlfa scan to email issues

Does anyone know how to get the TaskAlfas to scan using Exchange 2007 on an Windows 2008 server? I have tried on 5 different installs (with and without IT help) with no luck.
i usually end up routing them through my mail server, which I don't like doing!

    Thanks

I don't claim to be any kind of an expert, but the last few installs have gone flawlessly. They have all authenticated. The IT rep created an email address and password for the MFP, that doesn't need to be changed at 60 day intervals. The IP address typically works better than the hostname of the SMTP server. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks! Will give it a try. I hope the new machines will support TLS!

Can you be a little more specific about what's not working.

I always seem to get Authentication errors, even with a valid account for the machine. I know that TLS is not supported. I can usually only get it to work the SMTP connecter set for anonymous access & most IT guys don't allow that. I had an IT guy, myself, and Microsoft Exchange tech support online for 3 hours once and had no luck.
