    [Electrical] KM-5050 DP-700 problem

    KM-5050 document feeder issue
    We have a KM-3050 with a DP-700 that has a very strange problem. Copying from the glass is fine, but when you put an original in the document feeder the display says "Please wait" at the top and "Adjusting Scanner" in small print at the bottom.We tried to just install a new document feeder and trouble shoot the first one later, but the machine has the same issue with the new document feeder. I searched both the service manual and the user guide for this message and was unsuccessful. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

      sounds like a dp control board issue or main or engine... take your pick. i would run the reset fuser error mode in maint mode first... i have had that fix a lot of weird problems.

          I replaced the scanner PWB then the problem was solved.
