Offset problem on 400ci using HP glossy paper

We have a customer that MUST print on HP Premium Choicelaser 32lb 98 brightness Item # 113100 and we are getting offset. Our factory service rep took it to Japan and they engineered something to clean the transfer belt. It worked about a day.
We finally gave them a FS-C5035 printer and its works, but they insist that the machine should handle that paper and work. A lot of future machines hang in the balance including an 80 PPM...
Thanks for any ideas. (we've also been told that the new machines introduced this week will not handle that paper any better )

There is no copy machine that will print to glossy paper to my knowledge.

Many machines have settings for glossy paper, but the main problem is that is usually doesn't fuse very well, regardless of the setting. The remaining unfused toner remains on the fixing belt/roller, then prints onto consecutive prints. The glossy paper also leaves residual coating on the pickup rollers, registration rollers, fixing rollers, and even the drum(s), all of which will need to be cleaned that much more often.

Consider yourself lucky if you don't get this deal. I can be a headache without end, and no solutions in sight. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Try thru MP tray set for coated paper, only way we've had success with such paper.

I agree with blackcat here, but once again, how do you get sales people not to sell that it will print on glossy paper, I have one that will be doing that with a sharp MX3100 and I have told them about using the MFT, and paper settings, but like most I bet it when in one ear and out the other.

I just got a new customer that is running heavy fills on glossy paper through a C8500. Best way I could find was to run it through the bypass, on the coated setting (as thekeg suggested). Then go into your paper type settings, and set coated to "Heavy 3". That's the best you're going to get without adjusting your fuser settings in simulation, which I wouldn't recommend. If you still have a fusing issue, maybe you could get lucky enough to talk them into trying a different stock. Every once in a while I will be able to run a similar stock from a different brand, and have a better result. Worth a shot, if the customer is willing to work with you.

Premium Laser is a good alternative, not for all, but some took it.
