    Taskalfa 500ci [HELP]

Hello Everyone I have a question about the 500ci
Are these parts compatible with the 500ci. What does the (B) stand for.

    DF-760(B)
    DP-750(B)
    PF-760(B)

    Thanks is advance.

The (B) just means they are the later type, ie later firmware and modifications already fitted to the units.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

The earliest versions of the accessories are only compatible with a very narrow serial number range. The newer versions of the accessories are backwards compatible to all serial numbers. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for the quick reply. I would like to know if those are compatible with the 500ci because on their main website the (B) versions of the parts seem to be compatible with the B&W models and the color models without the B. The thing is I already bought the copier and the parts and dont know if they will work together.

Also do you guys know of any good technicians in the LA area to set up my new machine and service it?

I couldn't be much further, and still be in the US.

If you list the serial numbers of the machine and accessories I can reference the bulletin to tell you if they are compatible. The same accessories are used on both the KM420i/520i and the KM-250ci/300ci/400ci/500ci. Early versions compatible with low serial numbers. (B) versions compatible later serial numbers.

Sadly, it very likely that the accessories you bought are not compatible. =^..^=

The copier and the parts are in the storage and I cant get to them until Sunday. But if im not mistaken the copier serial number was ending in 3003. Does this tell anything. How can I check the serial numbers, is there a website or a reference? Also you mentioned that the B versions are the newer ones and are backwards compatible, so does that mean the copiers serial number has to be higher? and by Higher is there a specific number?

Sorry. The last four of the serial number doesn't help. The (B) version of the accessories became available in August 2009. Your base MFP will have to have been manufactured before August 2009 for any of your non-(B) accessories to be compatible. That was 20 months ago. =^..^=

How is the print quality on this copier. I own a small print shop and I want to do my short-run jobs on this. Is it reliable? Where can I find the cheapest toners?

I'm in the Los Angeles area, and you better keep the oem toner on that copiers otherwise you'll run into a lot of copy problems, print quality is good.
