    Scan to Gmail in KM2550

One of our customers purchased KM2550 scanner option and he wants us to configure it with his gmail account. Does this machine supports SSL connection and scan to gmail?

The last I was told Kyocera machines do not work with Gmail, can anyone else confirm/deny this?

All the latest taskalfa colour machines and the b/w 42/52 cpm machines will happily scan to a gmail account

Barnes what server settings are you using? Last I knew Gmail wouldn't except the headers Kyocera uses.

there are a few posts regarding scanning to gmail accounts on this forum. However to answer your question, I set up a 250ci using our own mail server settings, but you can use any valid mail server you have access to. I switched off authentication and used the mail server IP and not it's name. Not forgetting the sender address, ie: scanner@(company name).ie

Here's how to use IIS to forward it. I was also told by one of my customers that he used aspmx.l.google.com as the hostname. Supposedly this is an unencrypted connection server.

Thanks this helped a lot. Trying to get it to stop sending everything to spam. Any suggestions for that?
