Do you think that this could be one of those "Load A4 ... " messages? Powering off the printer would clear the print job.
We have a couple of engineering firms that get original documents from Volkswagen in A4 format. When you send those docs to a printer with letter paper only, you get an ambiguous message like "Printer Error". If you go to the Print screen it explains what paper size it wants.
The simple solution to this is the "Auto A4" function, usually found in the FRPO settings. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This is probably the most common problem with the 1650/2050/2550 series. You send a print job over and you get the "Print Mode Error" message. Push the Printer button and it'll say which paper to add. Could be A4, A5, Folio, 16k or something foreign. From this screen you can cancel that print job without having to reboot the machine. This occurs when the program that you are printing from such as Acrobat, Word, etc has the document size as something other than what it in the copier. If you are printing with Acrobat, especially that dreaded version 9 UNCHECK the box that says "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size". If Adobe sees that the document is for example 8.5 x 11.1 it'll tell the print driver to use that size paper. But that is not currently in the machine (or in existance) so you'll get that Print Mode Error message. Hit the Printer button and it'll tell you what size it's requesting.Comment
