    Kyocera Mita KM5530

Having intermitent problem with operation panel LCD dropping out and going blank. Comes back on and displays perfectly fine for 10-15 minutes and then goes blank again. Have tried pulling everything apart and reseating ribbon cable, and wire harness. Checked intensity dial. Not sure what to replace the LCD or the L shaped board with intensity control??

I don't know this model, but...

This sounds like a failing fluorescent backlight or inverter. If I am correct, the touch screen is still operational when it isn't readable. Also if you look at the screen at an oblique angle you should be able to the screen image (just not backlit).
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Does it work when its blank, can you press where a soft key would be and get something to happen?
I have seen the LCD panel fail a few times but never intermittently as you described. It would still replace it first.
