    Copystar CS-2030 error

I have a Copystar CS-2030 which is giving a "Fax Mode Error" message and then "Call for Service C710".

I would really appreciate any help on what could be causing this error.

C710 Interrupted Communication at the Destination. If you're the sender, it's happening outside your machine. Most likely, phone line.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Toner sensor problem

the range of 0.5 to 4.5 V during toner
        control.

cannot be set within the setting range
when maintenance item U130 is run.

Could be a faulty toner sensor, cables/connector or developer.

Last time I saw that code they had cracked open the old toner and poured toner in from their old copier.
This came from the KM2030 manual should be the same though not sure about the fax error, you may have two issues.
The force will be with you always.

Wow, was I off on that one! I was trying to shoehorn your C710 into U0710 fax error. I'll be more careful next time.

              Thanks all for your help.

I am a PC technitian with experience in LJ printers. They brought a new copier, and this one was already declared as "scrap", so if parts are not that expensive, I am free to work on it.

Given this situation, if anyone could share a SM, I would be more than happy.
