taskalpha 250ci black and white only available

hi all
have a strange problem with one of these
had a blown td sensor so order in a maintence kit and replaced the yellow dev tank.
completed the ac calibration but when i try colour copies tells me blak and white onle available.Reset the counters and up graded the firmware to no avail.
re set all user settings and checked accounting and all is off.
oly thing that was different from when old dev tank in and copying in colour was the adf was removed for another machine and at the moment it has no adf on it.
any help apprieciated

There is a setting that will allow you to copy in B/W only when the machine is out of color toner. Is it possible that your machine thinks that it is out of Yellow toner? Try running U464 AC Calibration. DV Refresh in the Adjustment menu will add toner to the DV units as well, but if you are replacing the unit, probably a good idea to run U464. Check your Status screen to make sure that none of your color toners are empty. Hope that helps

Dumb question, but did you remember to open the toner access door on the new DV when you put it in? Been there, done that

color dev release motor is probably defective. Just replace.
did you had an error code?
