    [CQ] FS-C5030N - No Magenta

    I have an FS-C5030N printer that does not print Magenta when sending a Print Job to it or when printing Color Registration chart, but when I print a status page, both the color banner on top and the Magenta Toner gauge are both showing magenta, I have tried swapping Drum units (with the LED unit as well) the issue remains the same, Per tech support, I replaced the DV unit, the issue still the same, I called tech support again and now they are recommending me to replace the DRUM/LED Driver board, has anyone else had this issue and if you did, what did you do yo fix it, not that I dont trust Tech Support, but I've been to that place a couple of times already and I want to make sure I have all the parts I might need to get them going on my next call.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Is the firmware up to date?

        I haven't been able to make it back there, but I will update the thread as soon as I go there and replace that part.

          UPDATE:

          I replaced the LED Relay Board, that did not help, I called Tech Support, Tech recommended to replace the Engine Board, I replaced it, and was getting "SELF TEST [][][][][]" and it would hang. Board in the Machine was labeled next to the Serial Number as: 5030NU while the one I received was labeled as: 5030NE, Called Tech Support once again and they recommended reloading the firmware, when I inquired about the Board was supposed to be already loaded with the software, tech explained that printer sometimes does is not able to read OLD firmware once the firmware has been updated, Reloaded the firmware and viola, Magenta is not showing, however now I'm getting a very light magenta, almost light pink, so a RED color is supposed would look brown, DV mag roller seems to be coated fine, I swapped the DRUM with another color, shade of Magenta stays the same, I've ran DV CLN and DRUM refresh shade stays the same. Toner level is at 1/4 so there is enough toner. I wonder if Tech Support can run any PRESCRIBE script or commands that might help or if it is in fact a Hardware issue.

          Any ideas?

            whats the magenta coverage rate. from memory if its less than 4% there is a command you have to run that will resolve this.

            if your not sure what i mean i will have to double check with a old work college as im no longer with a Kyocera dealer and cant look it up myself.

            pretty sure you do it from the printers Web UI in the send command or send file section. again im bit hazzy on the exact details
