    [Jamming] DF 780-B

Doing say, 10 copies of a 2 page document -stapled, 1st copy ok, 2nd copy ok, 3rd or maybe 4th is skewing causing the stapler to miss and the pages are offset. Does not happen every time and is not always 3rd or 4th set. Customer very sensitive and major client so need a solution asap, any help welcome- cheers people.
Ps f/w up to date, finisher is level and reg is clean!

Maybe accompanied by a squealing noise & J91 jams? Try this:

Squealing noise, intermittently. Possibly related to J91 & J95 jams in the DF-780 finisher. Lower gray rollers in the JS-720 job separator break loose from the shaft and slide to the outer edges of the cutout in the exit assembly. The sound results from rubbing on the sides of the slot, and creates gray rubber shavings. With JS-720 installed, re-position the lower gray rollers to the center of each slot. Remove the JS-720, mark the desired location, and superglue each roller to the shaft. Or replace shaft (303MA94020).

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks blackcat, it's not really jamming, as I said it's more skewing the odd time. However when it does jam it is code 93! But i'll check the JS rollers.

Hi im on my home pc so dont have parts manual in front of me, if you take of the covers and look at the finisher doing a staple job etc it will send the paper out to the finisher and before the tank wheels x 2 come down there are guides on either side of these two tank wheels ( hopefully someone with the manual can name them) !#! <---- from this icon you see if you imagine the # as the tank wheel then the ! is the Guides that touch the paper before the wheels and cause jams misfeeds etc if you cut a bit of the ! either side x 4. this means the wheels will always reach the paperand not the guides thus causing no jams or misfeed or the allignment issues these are now having

hope you understand now, and 10 min work saves countless call backs trust me
