    [Misc] KM-C2520 NO DISPLAY

    Hi Everyone
I have a customer 300 miles from here with a blank display.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else might have had a similar issue and what the resolution might have been.
I would have to order a replacement OP UNIT which isn't a problem but I thought I would ask. I don't expect the customer is able to do anything in the interm other than perhaps print.

    Thanks
    ED

I have had a couple customers move the display density wheel unintentionally. (though not as common as it used to be) You might have them spin that back and forth, to see if they get something to come up. If not, when they touch the screen, does it still beep when the press the invisible keys, or is there no function from the display panel at all?

If the touch screen and hard keys are still working, I wouldn't order an entire op panel, just the display.

      Like he says. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Thanks for the responses.
I phoned the customer and verified the display panel is indeed lit up but no activity for any of the selection tabs. I trusted the customer to try a MM 906 and 201 but even then when required to push the required tab nothing happens. I do have an operation panel on order so I expect that is my next option. Machine is still under warranty so at the end of the day an RMA will work out.
Just an inconvenience in travel distance and time.
I will follow up with the resolution.

I've had quite a little run on op panels lately..I only had to replace the touch op panel. Nothing else. Just be careful when removing the foam pads around it's rim. you'll need to put them on the new one. I would venture to say we've gone through ( 8 techs ) about a dozen of this part in the last 2 months

When I got onsite the operation panel was working.
I removed and reinserted the connectors anyway and did the display MM simulation to set display.
Checked operation and while doing other work around town I checked back before leaving. Regardless I left the new part at the
customer location in case there are future issues.
The problem with this kind of call is the remote location and being only one of a kind product anywhere in our dealership.
                Thanks
