We took over service on a KM-8030 in my territory. It's my only Kyocera I wasn't trained on because it's an older model. Please advice on how to remove the finisher DF-650 from the machine. I only had a few minutes to look, but I'm sure its easier than it appears. Advice would be appreciated.

Open the door to the finisher and you will see a black handle on the edge near the copier. Remove the screw (if it is there) and pull the handle. The finisher will seperate. On the back of the machine you will see a cord that runs to the back of the copier, unplug this and the finisher is completely disconnected from the machine. Make sure you turn the copier off if you want to disconnect the finisher or you will get error codes. If at first you don't succeed, redefine success -

Thanks. I definitely figured that was it and i removed the screw on the black handle, but when i pulled, it just bent rather than pulled toward me. Maybe its just wedged in there tight or something?Best rule for troubleshooting.

Oops! Wrong answer!
At the bottom along the same copier edge there is a metal lever with a screw through it. Remove the locking screw and lift the handle about 30 degrees from where it started.
You see there are a couple of latches that attach to the base also, and you want to raise them just enough to clear the feature on the frame. It's a good idea to remove the ground contact leaf springs if your going to move the machine any distance. The movers will mangle them. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
