    KM - 3035 Web Password reset

    Someone had changed the default web user name and password

    How to reset it back to admin00 please?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: KM - 3035 Web Password reset

    It never was admin00 (unless that was specifically chosen). Those machines came with no password set, then some nice bright IT guy decided he needed to block access (to everybody), then forgot what his password was.

    An engine reset will restore the "no password" condition.

    Try sending the following PRESCRIBE commands to the printer:
    !R! ACNT "REST";EXIT;

    If that doesn't work, try this:
    !R! EGRE; EXIT;

    This one resets the engine board and is supposed to reset all passwords.
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Hello blackcat4866

      Is Engine reset done in service mode please?
      I am new to Kyocera, how do I send commands to the printer please; do I connect the laptop to the MFP with a crossover cable and use the command prompt? Which manual has the instructions about this, please?

      Thank you for your reply!

        That doesn't much look like service mode, does it?

        That's PreScribe, the printers native language.
        On the search line enter "PreScribe" and you'll find one of the numerous posts on that subject. =^..^=
