    KMc2525e Toner

Hi all, just wondering if you guys come across these machines going from 20-30% toner to toner empty on occasion? If you have is there anything that can be done to resolve it or do I just put up with it.
The toners are genuine, have been fully shaken pre-use and firmware upto date. Its a bit of a hassle sometimes and would like to resolve it if possible.

So how consistent is your customers toner usage?

This is how a VoyagerE (and several over models) figure the toner remaining percentage:
The machine uses the average fill rate to decrement that amount of toner from 100% for each print. At a certain point the toner empty cycle takes over and a correction takes place. This is where the inconsistencies come in.

For our example, let's say that your customers average fill rate as of this morning is 7%, and the status page reads 30% remaining for each color. Today is bulletin day at the church though, and they've got 5000, multipage ledge booklets to print with 44% average fill for each color. The average fill value does not change instantly, so the toner usage is being decremented at 7%, 7.1%, 7.2%, etc ... for each print. Obviously you're using a lot more than 7.2% fill on that 10th print, so the toner is being consumed a lot faster than it's being decremented from the toner remaining %. Eventually the toner empty cycle takes over and the toner remaining drops to 5%, then 0% within seconds. A correction must take place at some point.

The short answer? Unless your going to design a new system that counts each particle, or gram, or ounce, or whatever unit of measure you'd like use, you're stuck with this method. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

OK, then I guess i'm stuck with it coz I just dont have the time to design a new system this afternoon..Anyways,it seems to me that this machine is lot more "inconsistant" than most other models I've come across. Thanks for the input Blackcat.Much appreciated.

temp must be 16 to 25degress cent., and you can set the calibration to long, so it wont calibrate often to avoid waste toner
