    [Electrical] Network port problem on CD1230( KM3050,Copystar CS3050,Olivetti D300MF)

I have a rather difficult issue with one of my machines:

I can ping the port and responds but cannot fully communicate, No error or anything..

Machine has got latest FW and I flashed it twice to be sure its all OK.

Any suggestions...I am worried the board is slashed ,maybe by power cut or something ..can't think of anything else..
.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

There are a few things that you can do.

    1) Check that the AC power is clean. The best way to do this is to set up a power quality analyzer, and record power events over a period of 48 hours. Each time there is a significant power event the network connection can be dropped, then hours later come back by itself, or brought back with a Reset in the System Menu > System > (password) > Reset. The only thing to do for this is to get a dedicated 15A circuit run for the device. There my be obvious draws on the same circuit nearby, like a coffeemaker, refrigerator, portable welder, air conditioner, etc.

    2) Perform an Engine Reset. That will restore and possibly recover the network interface. Keep in mind that you will lose your network print and scan settings, so write down the specifics. This won't help any power issue thought.

    3) Oh, another thing. Have you turned off unused protocols like Netbeui, Appletalk, etc. Sometimes that can help.

Have you tried connecting via crossover directly to your laptop to rule out any network issues? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

the problem on one machine printing from PDF was KPDL so I switched it to PCL XL

now another machine doesn't wont to communicate it is pissing me off, both machines were on rental and I cant figure out what have they done to these ports...grrrrr everything else seems to work alright.

I'm happy that you've made some progress, but I can't help thinking that there's more to it. A network issue of some sort. I think you may be working around the problem.
Does it happen from a PC or laptop, via crossover cable? I'm guessing no. =^..^=

Yeah it was a brick to sort out.. I think I have installed the same driver over and over and over instead of banging the same IP on the machine....I was just testing DHCP and assigning of addresses on machine..that is why ping and the rest worked, then i deleted all driver but unfortunately I haven't used driver deleter. That would surely got rid of any crap left over all those installs..

              and

it still could be a port problem, cos this was happening at customers base too I have a feeling that client banged USB in to the network port cos 5-6 pins inside the RJ45 were flat compare to the rest..and next to the machine was a USB cable just having a BAD day..( Frustrated client(WOMAN) and NO Network HUB and still she wanted to print over network :$ can Imagine...a spark in a room full of flying toner...a.e. disaster.. I might be wrong..but ...anyway..bend back the pins and it was OK

End of story Thanks for support .
