    Kyocera KM-3035

Copier will not save settings but automatically copies and prints to 51/2 x 81/2. Also fax section will say it's going to fax 81/2x11 then as its sending swiches to 51/2x81/2. How do I fix this.

Another note, I do not have the password.

    Help please!

Are you saying that the scanner always identifies the original as statement-R? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You've got an original size detection problem. you can try switching out the sensors in there. You might even be able to figure out exactly which one it is by using sim 99

is this on the printer itself now or a setting on the computer?

Is your copier under fluorescent light OR any other rather bright light?

This is what usually messes up the OPTICAL sensors.

If the width is the issue than just dis-assemble the feed tray, and clean any dust/ rubbish that may affect conductivity on the copper brush. Don't worry about lube as there is plenty left, you can easily wipe it off.

Just lift it up to vertical position and from under neath you can see I think 4 screws that are holding the unit together..pretty easy job.

Let us know if this was the case.

If you know nothing about technical details, call a technician. It would be the best solution in my opinion.
