    [Jamming] 250CI J 80

I haven't posted much on here but I could use some help on this one. Customer is getting a j80 on their DF780. 3 or 4 sheets would exit the finisher and then it jams. I spoke to tech support and they said it was the "pcs"(paper conveying sensor). Ok, I'm looking in the service manual and it says j80 is the paper entry sensor.
Well, I think I have a good part number now. There are at least 6 of these listed in parts manual, but never have taken this one apart before, can anyone out there positively define the j-80 code sensor?? The description(if that's what you want to call it) of the sensor isn't even a word! Please, my eyes are starting to bleed from staring at these parts manuals!! Thank you in advance!!

    Re: 250CI J 80

I've worked on J80 jams before, but don't remember what fixed it. I've cleaned the PES, but never replaced it.

I seem to recall something about the DF-780(B) pulling the left side door open during it's normal gyrations. I remember re-forming the interlock, or the door, or something along those lines.

Personally, I think you would not get any benefit to changing PES. Just out of curiosity, what level of firmware are you at? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't recall the firmware version but when I go back I'll update it, I think it was older. The thing is that the customer moved the machine themselves to their new location because they didn't like our company's price and that's when the trouble started, like the same day they plugged it back in. That is why I thought they may have broken something in the move.

Maybe a bent door? Sounds billable to me. =^..^=
