Hello everyone We have client with a TA400ci Displaying Error Code C0630. We mostly work on the Ricoh line and would be grateful for any help or input on how to enter SP mode to clear or at least a description on the problem the machine is having. Thanks in advance.

I know the audience of this site will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is one of the codes you get when the machine has a single pass doc feeder on it and the plug on the right side of the machine, the one that's just asking to be broken, takes a hit. There is a cheesy cover you can buy to protect it. Hope that helps. -

Second cable is for CIS for seeing the second side of a duplex copy in a single pass. Also, that is what the error code means. Corrupted image from CIS. Specifically, copied from the service manual:
DMA transmission of image data doesnot complete within the specified period
of time.
Poor contact in the
connector terminals.
Check the connection the signal cable for
CIS and the main PWB, and the continuity
across the connector terminals. Repair or
replace if necessary.
Defective main
PWB.
Replace the main PWB and check for correct
operation.Comment

I have noted that if the DF is in the up position the code is not displayed. Should we then order the harness that attaches to the right had side of the machine Not the harness on the center of the machine? Thank you so much.Trade like a tiger sleep like a babyComment

Start with the connector first, then the pigtail second (the one to the right side). Make sure it's the new style with the shield. The CIS will pull a C3210 error. IIRC the CIS was $950 cost. If you do need it, I hope it's under warranty. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Unfortunately the main PWB is the next logical choice. The CIS is not so logical a choice, but still on the list further down. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

I've had the same issue on a 500ci. My guess is the CIS is indeed dead but not because of itself.
The problem I had turned out to be the cooling fan that is right next to the CIS. Evidently it stopped working or wasn't working at the appropriate speed. I went through 2 CIS's before figuring out it was the fan.Comment
