[Electrical] CS-6500i - HyPASS Teaching Assistant issue

Anyone has had any issues with Teaching Assistant?

I installed it at a local school, made sure there was a Network connection, even an SMB and/or FTP destination. No SMTP configuration (as far as I know it is an Option, not a requirement) I can print the test, but when I try to scan it, it fails every time. I installed the latest firmware, according to Tech Support I needed to have the Latest Firmware (2.04). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't have much experience, but had the same thing you do. This was on a 3550ci. We installed it on a 300ci & it worked fine. Both were in our showroom, so I didn't troubleshoot very far.
    Hope that helps !

Same thing happened to me, our 250ci at on our demo room is working fine, but not any of the new alphard machines. I do have the latest and greatest firmware, downloaded it yesterday.

I was just commenting on that to my boss, we have an open house tomorrow (thu) and I'm afraid we might get into deeper waters if other people want it on their system, if it is the older task alfas (500ci series and the b&w counterparts) we'd be OK

This is what they sent back to me after submitting this problem to kyocera, I assume its the "cant read barcode error" ?

"After reviewing the samples you kindly sent, Anand has let us know that new software is coming out with a new pkg file that should correct this problem. So there is no prn file that is needed in this case.

I will let you know when the new software is released for download and installation."

And I have yet to hear back.

Had Regional Rep come out, he reset the print system to factory defaults and then it worked, aparently does not even need a scan destination, only a network connection, it seems to want to verify its IP address before it scans the tests.

Got that problem on the 520i. 2nd page barcodes get cutoff at the top therefore causes the scan error. Were still waiting on support on the issue. As for the network connection, just install a dummy switch/hub. As long as there is an active data light on the nic of the machine, it works ok.
