    Copystar 2050 Print job error

When receiving a print job, and it is not the correct size paper and machine comes up print error just because of the paper size, is there a way for it to print on the paper that is in the cassette without it giving a error code? Thanks Frank

Yes, press the PRINT button, select GO from the display panel, and press the OK button.

How do they recognize this problem when all the machine tells you is that there is a print error? Why can't it be more descriptive. Thanks

Yes, it is the PRINT button on the copier (left side of keyboard), you scroll down the display to highlight GO, then press the OK/ENTER key on the copier keyboard.

I agree this is a poor user interface on this series of machines (and the "dressed up" 181/221 series as well).

I used to get a bunch of service calls on this particular issue. My customer was sending A4 originals to 11" x 8 1/2" MFP. For my situation, Auto A4 did the trick.

Like cbs says, it's not the easiest display to understand. My customer was re-booting the machine, which killed the print job. So they thought they were fixing something, until the next time. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
