    Color Lock / Access Lock

We have a client that would like to be able to walk up to the machine and select black and white, but have to put in a code for color. The kicker is that they want the same for the print side. Print with no codes or resitrictions when using black and white, but then want to be prompted for a code when using color. Any Ideas ?? color lock will only work on the walk up side, and access lock print restrictions flat out don't work while using the domain feature. Thanks in advance !

Re: Color Lock / Access Lock

AFAIK, it's all or nothing. The best solution in my estimation is a code for B&W, and a code for color. Or, individually settable rights with each user having a unique job account code, but all users entering codes. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong: I think Ricoh does it this way, but not Kyocera. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

For printing it's possible to do that with the new KX driver
Just take a look under device settings - Administrator settings - Lock settings

You can look with a password or without, option's are = color printing, duplex, etc
