Have a customer with several PCs running win7 and xp setup for pc faxing. Only on the win 7 pc's when sending pc fax,the pop up window can sometimes take up to 60 seconds, sometimes is right away. Task manager says 50% processor is used by explorer...looks like explorer actually quits and restarts sometimes. Tried sharing pc fax driver from xp box and same delays occurred. I tried playing with spooler setting and no joy. All firmware is current...not sure what would cause it..any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is make sure you're using the right version of the driver on win 7. In other words don't use the 32 bit driver on a 64 bit system. Yes, in general, it will work but I've seen odd problems show up because of that. -

I can tell you from experience that those dialog boxes use SNMP to contact the machine before they pop up, to make sure the machine is available. Might give you a place to start looking.Comment
