Looking to set up scan to smb from a km-3050 to windows 7 home premium. Anybody out there been successful doing this and how? does anyone have a step by step? Thank you all in advance.

Its configuration is no different from XP unless you've proved otherwise since all entries are made on the scanner browser page.As for sharing,right click the destination folder,...properties..sharing(assign access permissions) ...security(assign access permissions) & exit.
let me know what you know & then we can move on from there...(all this on the assumption that u r not totally new to this). -

I think I read somewhere that Win7 Home will not SMB. Can anybody confirm this? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Windows 7 has no problems with SMB scanning. From Home to Ultimate. You just have to know which settings to check for. The funny part is whenever I get an error scanning to 7 or Vista, I know where to look and it's almost always the same thing. Whenever I am having trouble with XP, those settings aren't present. So I'm like where the hell do I go from here? The only SMB problems I have had with the Falcon 3s is using the host name to scan. I almost always have to use IP address. Falcons 2 & 4, no problem with host name.Comment
