Working on a 3050 that when the fax board is installed the machine locks up and jobs are stuck in machine. Uninstalled the machine works fine. Anyone ever seen this? Tried a different fax kit but no change.

I've got two possibles for you:
CS-3050, 4050, 5050 Falcon III. Cannot receive faxes, intermittently. "U01110" Rx errors viewable on U670 Error Log. Possible defect in firmware affecting versions 2.41, 2.43, & 2.44. Downgrading of firmware to version 2.40, or upgrade to version 2.45a or above.
CS-2560, 3060. "Load Paper Tray #1" when paper is full. When attempt is made to cancel the offending document from the Status screen "Cannot cancel fax or ifax receptions." is displayed. When Fax System (M) is removed message disappears, all but fax is restored. Corrupt fax reception is stuck in memory. Export user data to USB in sim U917. Note destination (66), SMTP, and IP address. Run Data Clear U022. The offending document will be printed. Re-enter data and import U917 data.

The fax kit has been in for several years. Black Cat it is doing exactly what you mentioned in #2, however, its not asking for paper in trays 1 & 2 but instead says tray error on both trays. I assume it will be the same fix either way. Thanks for the input.Comment

Just a thought. I ran into a tray auto detect problem, decided that the customer never changed paper types or sizes in that tray, so I turned off tray auto detect. These fax kits won't work without the trays on auto detect. Doesn't lock the machine up, though, just tells you to load the same paper size into the tray, as in Blackcats version #2. I'm wondering if running U022 doesn't turn auto detect back on, thus avoiding a few steps. Just a thought.Comment

Which board?
The Falcon III only take fax System (M), not the Fax System (M)2. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

before running a u22 just do the U927 then just back up ur data when you are finished with U22 just run the U 927 again o and make sure the usb stick you use is indeed clean (nothing els on it)Comment

I have a issue simular to this on a 5050, it says "excuting TX job" at the bottom of the screen, if you check job status to cancel the job there's no job showing, I tried another fax card and got the same message.Comment
