    8000i J46xx

Brand new machine installed 1 day, 4k, constantly jamming on any decent run of prints or copies>

Anyone else seen this, possibly exit sensor sticking or defective?

    Any help gratefully received

Well the 46xx codes all deal with that sensor. 4601-4609 is it not turning on and each one of those just depends on where the paper is coming from. 4611-4619 is the sensor not turning off. I would try to figure which one you are dealing with as it not turning on or off.

Had similar issues but different codes.... we kept getting jams when going to finisher A or B, but C was ok... could run straight out with finisher detached just fine. what finally fixed the issue we had was cleaning all the bushings and shafts on the exit section... (had already cleaned rollers on bridge) only exit to C has a sensor, out to finisher does not. Hope this helps

Ok- we found a big burr on the cover where the exit sensor actuator* bar passes thru, causing it to catch intermittently. We also put extra tension on the spring. 3 days, 8k no jams.

        Thanks for all input
