I'm new to the Kyocera brand and have just replaced a Savin with one of these. The only complaint which is a small one is operation of Scanning. The Savin they had would hold the Scan destination and the settings so when they went to to Scan their next document all they had to do was input file name and hit start. The Kyocera automatically boots the destination after each the packet is scanned. So they have to re input the destination every time. Normally this wouldn't be a huge issue but this customer spends a lot of time scanning different files at one time. I haven't found any settings to change this and from the people I've talked to there isn't anything to change this. We are looking at installing Drivve possibly but I wanted to see if anybody else has ran into this and has found a solution. I've played around with Panel Plus and FMU connect and those both seem to set up a profile with a preset file name. But also I'm not familiar with these programs so I'm still playing around to see of I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for any Ideas.

Re: Kyocera CS8000i Scanning question
I've never really set one up for it but I'm sure you can set a Favorite Button to do all that or a One Touch Key...I don't have a machine in front of me to really look at it...but should be something along those lines you could use I would guess..."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

Re: Kyocera CS8000i Scanning question
Any Kyocera machine that ends in "i" should have an address book available to them in the scanning area. You can even access it from the Command Center web interface.
All of our customers that use scanning use it and the one touch feature. Instructions on how to access it and set it up should be in the Operations Guide.Comment

Re: Kyocera CS8000i Scanning question
IIRC all the Wisecore machines have a "Recall" button in the scan screen, that will repeats the last set of settings. Very handy. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Kyocera CS8000i Scanning question
I've played with the favorites and short cuts, you can save certain programs but not a destination. The recall feature is what I thought would be the answer but it doesn't put the destination in either. I honestly don't kn if the machine will do it. Sharp's are the same way. Savin is the only machine I've seen that you can set it hold the destination. Just trying to exhaust all the resources before I say a definite no. Thanks for all the help.“Boring damned people. All over the earth. Propagating more boring damned people. What a horror show. The earth swarmed with them.” BukComment
