    [Jamming] KM 6030 Jamming Issue

I have two of these machines doing similar jams.

    Machine number 1.
I am getting a J86 and a J63. it doesnt matter what tray is used but only does it when the paper is face down when it exits on long copy jobs. First you will get the first sheet completly out in the finisher tray it will throw the J86 clear it and it will have the first copy at the exit rollers of the finisher and throw a J63. Clear it and it goes back to the J86 and so the circle begains again.
I have updated the firmware for the copier, replaced the transport section, updated the finisher firmware, new feed tires in the paper decks. No change.

    Machine number 2.
I am getting a J81 and a J40. doesnt matter what tray is used similar circle as above. J81 first copy is just going into the finisher, clear Jam 40 first copy is jammed at the claw section. I replaced the finisher, and updated the firmware. no go

I have ordered parts from the following SB 8720,9038, 7380. Any other ideas the first machine has just about drove me crazy(and it is a very very short drive there).

The J63 are common when the Duplex Switchback roller wears down or the plastic roller above it gets gunk on the shaft. Try cleaning that metal shaft and the inside of the plastic roller and see if it helps. If not that DU SW roller would be my next step. as for the J40 jams....reach in and turn the gear that turns the fuser...that's your exit motor...feel for any slippage in that gear....that is a common culprit with that gear wearing down on the exit motor...

After a long and increasingly desperate attempt to fix my machine, I replaced the ESW, and the two feedshift solenoids (FSSOLA and FSSOLC) in the finisher (per another thread/opinion). I didn't really think it would make any difference, but surprise, surprise!

Here is my post on this topic:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

For those that keep up with such things the J86 was caused by the feedshift gate shaft that was corroded at the bushing on the front side, so the feedshift solenoid couldnt move it. Thanks for the help Guys

I am still working on the other problem time permiting.
