[Misc] Keyocera Taskalfa 3050ci Rotate after x amount of pages

I have a daily task of printing 500 sheets, that I later have to count in to groups of 30.

Is there any way to set to default, after a job has reached 30 pages, it rotates the next set of 30 by 90 degrees? I know this printer can rotate, I've seen it happen, but not sure how or why it did.

I would prefer not to set a global setting in the printer, as it is a network printer, and other people in the office use it as well.

I am using the Debian Linux driver, from an Ubuntu 11.10 machine, through OpenOffice.

Thanks in advance for the help.

What features do you have, specifically finishing? If you do have a finisher, and all these prints are of the same image, you could send 17 print jobs of 30 pages each. If the machine is defaulted to offset like most are, or if you pre-select offset finishing, each set of 30 will be offset.

If you don't have a finisher, on every other print job from Print Preferences you could select letter-R (8 1/2" x 11") paper, rather that letter (11" x 8 1/2") paper, producing what's called Rotate Sort.

500 is not evenly divisible by 30, so your 17 sets will add up to 520 printed pages.

You cannot pre-program offsetting at a specific interval. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
