I've got a customer that has multiple locations within a city. In this particular problem one location has a KM-5050 and the other has a KM-5035. When they try to fax to each other it will either time out or be unable to negotiate a baud rate. Faxing to any other number be it internal, local or long distance works without a problem.
I've updated firmware on both machines. Also, we have a "fax tester" that is basically nothing more than a mini NBX with two jacks so you can test faxes without the phone lines being a factor. Both machines test just fine without being connected to phone lines.
My gut is telling me there has to be something wrong on the phone company's end between the two numbers. However just in case I'm missing something I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas.
