Re: KM-3530 Need help on scanner

I'm not sure what part of the Asian region to select for Tagalog language utilities:
        KYOCERA MITA

There is an English language TWAIN driver for Vista (does not specify 32 or 64-bit):
The TASKalfa 305/255 can dramatically lower your TCO total cost of ownership...Kyocera's SMARTtech is affordable
I do not see a Windows7 version of the TWAIN driver.

I suspect you'll have to use the ScanFileUtility (English language version), also does not specify 32 or 64-bit:
The TASKalfa 305/255 can dramatically lower your TCO total cost of ownership...Kyocera's SMARTtech is affordable

The latest versions of the drivers include both 32-bit and 64-bit functionality. I would try to install these utilities. If the utility is not compatible you'll get an error message/window indicating wrong version. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: KM-3530 Need help on scanner

Thank you very much. I was able to set up the scanner now using the TWAIN Driver. Functional on Windows Xp Service Pack 3 and on Windows 7 64bit. I use Softi ScanWiz as my application for scanner.

Sadly I wasn't able to use the Scanner File Utility. I did follow the instructions, also downloaded a Guide for Installing Scanner File Utility. I still want to use the SFU but I think something is missing
"Unable to find destination PC. Check the PC." always appear on the panel of the machine when I started to press the "Save at User PC"

i think a link between the pc and the machine is missing...

Hi,you need to add scan file utility in your firewall exceptions.Check antivirus is not blocking it,and also it has happened before, just make sure scan file utiliity is actually running on the pc and not still in config mode.

What dickierock said and make sure your destination setting are correct.

Scanner File Utility is now working on Windows XP, it's the firewall issue
Now I'm working on Windows 7 64bit, firewall is already check. I'm just not sure if SFU is compatible with that OS.

Re: KM-3530 Need help on scanner

Scanner File Utility is now working on Window 7 64 i just changed the destination folder.
                  Now here's the new problem...
I can only scan using 1 computer. I did the same set up on the other computer but only 1 PC is detected by the machine??? I think there's a conflict between the PC's???
How do I set it up using 2 or more PC?

You must load the SFU to each PC that you would like to FTP scan to. As long as it's configured properly, there should be no conflict. =^..^=

Re: KM-3530 Need help on scanner

Yes I did install SFU on each PC.
                      Here's my set up:

                      MACHINE: KM-3530
                      IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.115
                      SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
                      DEFAULT GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1

                      PC1: laptop
                      OS - Windows XP SP3
                      IP ADDRESS - 192.168.1.105
                      DESTINATION FOLDER: C:\Documents and Settings\Laptop\Desktop\scan

                      On WEB INTERFACE: (192.168.1.115)
                      Sender(User)List
                      001 laptop
                      Registration Number: 001
                      Registration Name: laptop
Address of Address Book installed PC: 192.168.1.105
                      Save Number: 001

                      PC2: desktop
                      OS - Windows 7 64bit
                      IP ADDRESS - 192.168.1.103
                      DESTINATION FOLDER: C:Users\desktop\Desktop\scan

                      On WEB INTERFACE: (192.168.1.115)
                      Sender(User)List
                      002 desktop
                      Registration Number: 002
                      Registration Name: desktop
Address of Address Book installed PC: 192.168.1.103
                      Save Number: 002

Is there a conflict on my setting? If i remove the PC2, PC1(laptop) is now detected on the panel of the machine and can scan without problem. I try to change the position of PC1 and PC2 making desktop on 001 and laptop on 002, still same problem. And If i remove the PC2(which is laptop now), PC1(which is desktop now) is detected and can scan without problem.

Do you know what you did to fix it?
I know that sounds like an odd question, but quite honestly I often don't exactly know which setting made the difference. =^..^=

Here is where I found the problem:

                            * Default Setting/Counter

                            Scanner default

                            Administrator number (3500 on KM-3530)

                            Scanner setting menu

                            System Basic

                            Selec. of senders (users) OFF

It was set to ON at first that's why I don't see the other PC, and the PC on 001 is automatically detected

TWAIN Driver and SFU on the links that you gave is working on Windows XP Service Pack3 and Windows 7 64bit. Thank you very much!!!
