    [CQ] KM FS-3140MFP Light CQ

I have had 2 new KM FS-3140MFP copiers that are printing and copying light right out of the box. I tried doing a drum and developer refresh and that does not help. The solid black areas do not look solid black. I can manally darken and it does help some, but I should not have to do this on a new copier. Has anyone had this issue.

Had the same issue. The print is a bit too light. Tried some other drivers, but no result. Printed the same page on a HP machine and it comes out much darker. I've passed this question to Kyocera, but at this moment still no solution.

      Re: KM FS-3140MFP+ Light CQ

I tried a charge roller from a FS-3900 printer and the prints came out much darker. I know that this is not the solution because when the charge roller is older it develops a coat on it and the copies get darker. I did not leave this charge roller in the Kyocera FS-3140MFP+. I tried wiping off the charge roller, but I new this would not help. I just used water and dried it because I did not want the copies and prints to get any lighter. Just for your information Kyocera said that the Kyocera FS-3140MFP and the Kyocera FS-3140MFP+ firmware is not the same. It took them about 35 to 45 minutes to tell me this. I asked them what is the difference between the a + model and the regular MFP? They hesitated and said hmmm firmware and ummmm it is an updated model. Can anyone tell me what the real answer is? We should know our Kyocera models before we put them out in the field, especially if we are working for the manufacturer. Am I being to harsh?
