So far, so good. We've placed two or three, and I haven't heard a word in 6 months (knock on wood...). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks Blackcat, what kind of volume is your customer doing? Do you like the one cassete idea? I know there are options for the paper feeder, makes the machine a little expensive. Thanks again Frank

All of them have the two add'l cassette base. The one I'm aware of does 15K prints, 50K scans monthly. Since it's primarily a scanner it doesn't really need the add'l cassettes. Not sure about the others.

I assume you're talking about the black and white versions and those have ran perfect. The only problems have been user issues.

The color ones have been not so good.

              Re: Copystar cs 255

I have 2 in the feild and 1 in the shop (the TA-255) anyways, 1st one we sold has been a problem since day one, it died (power board) after 2 weeks in the feild, had to replace machine with new for customer, replaced board and sold again (as a showroom machine at a reduced price) only to have it fail in the feild again, main board this time, kyocera was little help with the problem, found out latter there had been a bulletion (not released to techs yet) but had been in the hands of kyocera for months with a "known problem" so it cost us a ccd and other parts (that kyocera will not take back) untill we found the problem, okay so now it works right.... wrong, now the network card has failed and i have to replace the main board again. Fingers crossed. But it now has 7200 prints on it and i have replaced it a couple times with new, less then no money left in it.

I also have 2 TA-255c's in the feild; 1 failed out of the box, the MP tray would not pull paper, but thats another story.

Also big concern about these machines is there is only a 12 month warranty? all the other new machines are comming with a 36 month warranty...... Kyocera know something that they are not telling us?

We have 10 in the field. Four have had to have the main boards replaced. One was dead right out of the box. Thumbs down for me.

Nope. Mine are CS-255c. No problems yet. =^..^=

That's interesting. I wonder if the warehouse has anything to do with it then. We attempted to sell 5 of them and each one was bad right now of the box. One even had a bent frame that prevented the lasers from working properly.

Have you been sending hate-mail to Kyocera? Maybe they're saving "special" machines just for you. =^..^=

I think we've replaced 8 out of 12 boards on the b/w and 2 out of 3 on the color so far. Haven't really sold any more of those machines and we just kinda wait for the last few to crap out on the boards....but other than the boards I have had no other issues with these machines.
