CS-2050 Image problem but only with copies

Working with a CS-2050 that is leaving a faded space down the lenght of the copies. This is only seen when copying. No problem is seen when scanning the document to a PC or when printing from a PC. I replaced the ISU, shading glass, and lamp, problem remained.
I replaced the drum & charger 2 weeks ago and thought the problem was solved, but have been told the problem has returned. I guess the next step is the dev or trans roller.

Another question I have is why is the problem only showing itself when copying and not when printing or scanning?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

Yep, DV unit. Shake it left and right to redistribute the devel and run dev aging sim 130 before replacing.
I know what I know better than anyone else knows what I know.

You didn't say if you were using the doc feeder are the the scan glass. but if it prints fine then i assuming that that its with the optics. i would think that the doc feeder itself is not setting flush wiht the platten if there is a gap this will happen. also if you look where the platten meets the slit glass there are suppost to be to metal tabs if one is missing the platten will bounce arrround whenever the scanner moves causing it to work fine sometimes and others not.
I want to choke the axxhole who designed this!!!!

sounds like something to do with optics. if you are using generic toner, look closely at your mirrors for a haze. usually bluish in color. this seems to happen mainly with generic. i think the fumes rise from the heat roller up to mirrors. don't know if this is your problem, but worth a check.

          light copies

we have seen many like this, did you clean all mirrors with glass cleaner ,seem they get some kind of film on them that you can't see.
