    criss-cross sorting question...

    hey guys..
you know when you dont have a finisher but you put letter in one tray, letter R in tray 2 and from the op panel set Offset "on"... as a copier it will "separate" the sets by pulling from one tray then the next.. is that "electronic sorting"? anyway will a 3050ci (or say even a 300i) ... do that from the computer? i cant get it to happen as a printer..
    thx..

Under the Finishing tab under the printer properties is an option to rotate copies or offset jobs under the separation option...I think that is what you are looking for...

Correct. Offset to Off, Rotate Sort to On, LTR in one tray, LTR-R in the other. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

it'd be tooo faint to show up from a scan! slight black image run-on after the text
i going to swap out the little black cleaning motor..

today was a first as i removed the same motor to solve a bad squeel on another 250ci and it went pretty well, iwas a bit intimidated.. alot of wires, boards and motors.

hey Blackcat, thanks for all your posts and sharing.. it all helps!
