They are SATA, right? Can you use computer hard drives, or are you forced to purchase from Kyocera?

Re: TaskAlfa hard drives
From what I understand they do indeed have to be the same size and we had to get from Kyocera to get some to work the one time we had to replace HDDs. I'd be interested to find out if you were able to get regular HDD's to work.Comment

Re: TaskAlfa hard drives
I wonder if you partition it on a PC first and make first partition 160GB if it would work?IBM, Mita, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Kyocera, HyPAS, Canon, Oce, Samsung, HP, TEO IP PBX/Unified Communications, Comptia Network+ Comptia PDI+ CertificationsComment

Re: TaskAlfa hard drives
I wondered the same thing, but was too chicken to risk purchasing a non-usable hard drive.I would rather be riding, talking to God than sitting in church thinking about riding.

Re: TaskAlfa hard drives
In class they told us the dual 160GB HDDs are loaded with a RAID, and are specifically paired up (CS-400ci/CS-500ci). I've replaced a few, but always OEM. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
