Taskalfa 300i grey patch through feeder

    Hi all

Brand new just out of the box Taskafa.

Copies off the glass and reports are perfect but a copy through the feeder has a grey patch on the trailing edge.
I have taken the slit glass off and looked at the optics all looks good, could this be a feeder height problem? the feeder looks like its sitting level.

Make sure the shoulder screws for the feeder brackets are tight, if loose they will cause all kinds of problems.

Is this a cardstock original? heavy cardstock will not be able to wrap around to the slitglass without doing a little flip at the end. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sitting above the slit glass in the feeder is a metal plate called 'guide reading' in the parts list. I took this off and placed it on a table to see how straight it was. I could see a gap of approx 1mm in the middle. I straightened it so it was perfectly level, fitted it back and the problem vanished.
