    [Error Code] TASKalfa 5500i 2201 Scanning SMB

    I have a TASKalfa 5500i scanning SMB to a server 2003 giving a 2201 code. The document scans into the folder, and then throws a 2201 code. any ideas?

    Sounds a bit wierd... If you do a continuous ping, is it stable? and also did it just start or is it a new installation?

      This is a new install. Have not tried a continuous ping.

          It will put a document into the folder and then it shows the code 2201. So it does work but throws a code.

              Hi Stracy

              What i want you to try is the following, setup scanning to a regular pc on the network and see if it scans without an error code.

              There sounds like a delayed request/signal coming from the server, whether it be on a snmp protocol or not. Ensure you can scan to the desktop pc, this will ensure your client that it is working and the problem comes from the server. Therefore their desktop support guys can investigate. It may even be a firewall issue.

              You said it was a new machine...? Did you use the same ip as the previous machine?

              let me know... Thanks

                Have you tried Scan to FTP, is it still giving you a similar error, I Like FileZilla FTP Server, works everytime, Also, Check your Firewall.

                I think there is a bulletin out there about scan to SMB on Server2003, Check the Kyocera site

                    Try using all caps when entering the destination folder name

                        When you are getting the document, it means your destination and username / password field is right.

                        Regarding the error code, you must have typed in and email address, or an entry on the FTP field, that you didn't fully configured. make sure, you leave email and FTP fields blank.

                        thanks
