    OEM purchaser code

    Hi,

    With dealers pushing do their click charge prices I'm sure I'm not the only one using non OEM toners these days ...

    Does anybody here have a list of the OEM purchaser codes for U265 ?

    Or is there a generic for these that removes the warning/notice that your not using a manufactures toner ?

    Thanks

    Have you tried setting it to 0?
    But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

      Re: OEM purchaser code

      I know a few:

      2 = Kyocera Mita
      66 = Copystar
      ?? = Utax

      =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Yeah, I know setting it to 0 removes the Kyocera logo from the boot screens and from Command Center, but I've never looked to see how it deals with non-OEM toner cartridges. Should be interesting...
