    Km3060 w/ dp670 doc feeder

    Have a customer with this machine combo. The ADF has started to drop down when open. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment to the spring tension before I order a new hinge. They are 60 miles away, so I would like to do it in one trip if I can. Can't find anything in the service manual.

      there are no adjustments for the hinge. the shoulder screw that mounts the hinge to the copier will become loose. other than that youll have to replace the hinge.

              Yup. It's just a couple of heavy duty springs on a slide mechanism. Most often the plastic parts break, but rarely I've seen a broken spring. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
