    DF710 Jams

    Hey guys,

Has anybody seen jams in the KM5050 document finisher df710, where the paper stays in the buttom of the finisher and wont feed out? Checked all motors and they work fine from service mode, but when the paper is in finisher the belt doesnt lift to eject the paper. Machine does not give any jam code, just says paper jam.

    Thanks in advance.

Machine should say or show more info on the screen. Like, where it thinks the paper is. If the picture is indicating some where
else then where the paper actually is, that would be a clue.

So, did you print out states pages U000 and check jam?

    Did you do U240
B UP MT Paper conveying belt motor 1 (PCBM1) is turned on.
B D MT Paper conveying belt motor 2 (PCBM2) is turned on.

    and it moves?

    Did you do U241 ?
BUNDLE DET SW 2 Paper detection sensor 2 (PDS2) (Paper detection sensor 2 at bottom)

Do a U906 for the H of it, can not hurt. Fixed some strange stuff for me.

Firmware is now 2.45a, after check that each one is up to date on U000 pages.

    Good luck

      How about this?:

      =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
