    FS-C8020 MFP

    Hi All,
    Has anyone had a reoccuring issue with the registration on these m/c's? brief outline. the rego drifted out several month's ago way off the chart. (10kish prints) and we replaced the secondry transfer roller as per bulletin and updated f/w and followed the flow chart on the bulletin. after a few hour's we got the charts to line up. Now the same fault has arisen and I have ordered a new transfer belt as per another bulletin, but I spent an hour and a half just to get the Magenta to come close to it's alignment but not quite there. gave up at that point as there is obviously something not quite right, hence this post in the hope someone may have seen this and found the cure just incase the belt dosent do the trick.

          update....It turned out to be the lasers causing the problem. I replaced the set to be sure. the chart took only 3 adjustments from way off the edge to correct alignment in the centre. Before replacement it would take dozens of adjustments and then still not quite make it to the middle.

              In case it comes back, there is new firmware to address color registration issues. It just came out a few weeks ago. Just so ya know.

              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
