Opinions aside, just ask him. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You are correct in that this is not a source of free firmware and manuals.

You may be unhappy about that, or not.

This is a forum for the sharing of technical opinions between technicians, not a source of free labor for endusers and not the public library. When you want dealer proprietary information become a dealer.

Copytechnet can still be a valuable resource to you, just not in the way you want. Have a nice day. =^..^=

                Dear friend,
You can get anything you want but you have to ask nicely. I understand language is a barrier but the law of kindness penetrates all language barriers. Please proceed with caution. Paul is a nice guy but as Col. Nathan Jessup once said, "You have to ask me nicely".

The secrete of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly and lie about your age..... No man is so poor as to have nothing worth giving.

I don't know if you solved your problem yet or not, but I have a tech on staff here that was having the same problem.

He was using the extractor to send the file to the USB drive, but then it never worked in the machine.

I watched him do it and immediately saw what he was doing, he was using the firmware extractor directly onto the USB drive. The extractor creates a folder on the usb drive that has the firmware in it. The machine doesnt know what to do with a usb stick with a folder so it never works. The firmware files have to be on the root of the drive, just as blackcat4866 said. You need to extract it, then copy the contents of the extracted folder on the "Root" , or directly into the USB drive without any folders.
Also to note, the USB drive should be formatted FAT32, not NTFS.
I've used 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and just used an 8GB drive today to do firmware on a 300i, all of them work.

                    Hope this helps.
