This is happening on KM - C2520. The light is on the scanner button. When I select the scanner function, I see C0250. I reset the scanner's NIC and the copier was able to scan to email or to the PC. Next day C0250. I am planning to replace the NIC for the scanner. Any other ideas?

Re: C0250 when Scanner Function is selected.
You could try flashing the NS30 with scan card firmware v. 1.4.11
All it will cost you is a little time. I really don't think it will help, but it will give you something to do while you're waiting for the NS30 to arrive.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I took NS-30 from used machine to try. I assume my SMTP settings will be gone with new NIC card?Comment

Oh yes. And the addressbook too.
Be sure it's at v. 1.4.11
Some of the earlier NS30 firmware doesn't scan to SMB or interface with Firefox. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: C0250 when Scanner Function is selected.
It sounds like the internal Hard Drive to me. If you are in Copier mode can you scan to the hard drive via the Document Management button above? I'd swap a hard drive before I try a new NS-30 card. On this model and others that contain a copier hard drive such as the KM-6030, the address book is stored on the hard drive, not the NS-30. However, the NS-30 contains all of the network settings. I think Scanning to FTP/SMB is dependent on specific model, not firmware version of the scan card.Comment
